Sure, Graphicsmagic is a fork of ImageMagick, with the idea of keeping
the interfaces stable. I think at least once a year some command in
octave-forge breaks due to convert's output format changing. So I choose
the stable part.
And for the monolithic octave2.9-forge package, we chose Graphicsmagic
as well (although I don't think there was any discussion).
Anyway, that decision is not cast in stone. I wanted to get the package
out, to reduce my TODO list.
