If noone else is willing to do it, I will upload a package that just
adds the debug package in when needed. Sorry, I have no octave clue at
all, so I would like to avoid any bigger sponsoring steps. Anyway, I
think dropping the debug package for mips* should be enough.

Could you do this soon?
