Give me a short while to document what I did with the octave-symbolic
package, and that can be used as a model for other packages.
Alternatively, you, Sébastien, could start perusing the
git-buildpackage documentation or whatever blog posts you can find,
which suggests various workflows that could work better if your
upstream is already using git, unlike for the 'Forge packages.
