It had a branch for each release. They sort of are still there,
somewhere in the reflog, I think. But whatever, I guess they're not a
big deal, just there for historicity purposes.

So anyways, the changes I uploaded to the package seem to fix #607071.
I'm surprised you were unable to reproduce it, though. The package has
been removed from testing, and I think it would need some intervention
from your part to sway the release managers to let it back in. I first
need the package uploaded to unstable before I can request a freeze
exception...
