I think it's clear this is not the case.

For example, the es package seems to be very broken. The physical
constants package is unmaintained, buggy, and thoroughly useless. I
don't think I've managed to make the video package work in a long time
either. The symbolic package "works" and is in high demand, but it
doesn't seem to work for much of anything and is also very
unmaintained. oct2mat should not be installed at all unless you want
to break your Octave.

Thanks, this list is certainly what I had in mind. Note that the
miscellaneous package is also highly installed in Debian.

Right now, the Debian people are doing a lot of work to package all of
these, so we really should help at least identify what should be done
with the packages.
