Sorry for having not responded earlier but I had some work and urgent RC
bug to fix.

I have updated the package with all of these changes. But since it is
the first time that I use pristine-tar, I am not sure whether I did it
correctly.

I've copied the post-receive hook from octave.git and setup
hooks.mailinglist and hooks.replyto. Was there anything else to do?

I have put you in the uploader list and set DM-Upload-Allowed field.
The package is close to final now I think. I sent an email to the
upstream developer two days ago to have confirmation concerning details
of the license and copyright but I am still waiting for an reply.
