I confirm this. The solution is to upgrade your liboctave1 package to
version 3.6.3-2.

It appears that octave 3.6.2 does not work with liboctave1 3.6.3, and
conversely octave 3.6.3 does not work with liboctave1 3.6.2.

At the very least we need to tighten dependencies, but we may also be
forced to do a SONAME bump (because backward compatibility of liboctave
seems broken).

We need to clarify this with upstream.
