The BTS has recorded that the bug is fixed in Octave. From the webpage
of #701327:

Found in version mwrap/0.33-1
Fixed in version octave/3.6.4-3

So that situation seems to be somewhat supported. I don’t know however
what are the consequences for testing migration.
