I have committed a fix for this using javahelper [1], it works for me on
amd64 and i386, hopefully works equally well on all ports.

I also applied a patch to allow the doc command to work again. That
leaves dealing with Forge packages that need to be rebuilt and upgraded
as the only outstanding issue I'm aware of.
