[Pkg-octave-devel] octave FTBFS on arm64 and mips

Hi,

During a rebuild related to ongoing transitions, octave FTBFS on arm64
and mips. See https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=octave

On arm64, it is a compiler internal error; while on mips, it is a java
VM error.

Even though these problems have not been created by changes outside our
package, we must find a solution. I currently don't have the time to
work on this. If someone has the time, it would be great to investigate
whether the problems are reproducible, if they have been fixed in the
build dependencies, and to request give-backs if relevant.
