Looking at the build log for sundials 2.5.0-3+b3, I am not sure that
the problem is introduced by octave 4.2. It may have to do with the
difference in the build environment (sbuild or not).

And I am not totally sure that removing the "exit" statement is the
right fix, even though I did not look deeper into it.

Moreover, the sundials package is in the process of being adopted by a
new maintainer, and a new upstream version is waiting in the NEW queue.

So all in all, I suggest that you open a bug (severity important) to
discuss the issue with the new maintainer, rather than doing a team
upload right now.

I think you are confusing the 0.10 version of gstreamer with the 1.0
version, which is in unstable.

Anyways, I was able to recompile the package against octave 4.2.


So when the bug against sundials is opened, I think we can ask the
Release team for a transition slot (I can take care of it).
