I can't promise but I'll try to have a look at that tonight. One
question so I understand the whole thing correctly: You need libmesh as
a (Build-)Depends but libmesh FTBFS due to some (Open)MPI related bug.
petsc just fails because of libmesh, so we need to fix libmesh first,
right? (Just repeating that so I spent my time fixing the right thing.)
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
