AFACT, sparc doesn't build because it's not in the list of build
architectures. I really don't know why it's not in there, and why it's
build nevertheless.
The buildlog [1] doesn't show an error from make, so I assume it went
fine. The only error is from dpkg-gencontrol. The following "Error 1"
seems to be from debian/rules.
I wonder if it's reasonable to just add sparc (back) to the architecure
list. I'm not much of a sparc guy and don't have a access to a maschine
to investigate that further at the moment. But I'm quite confident that
it will build, from looking at the buildlog. (As I said earlier, I think
1.2.3 didn't build because of outdated autotools.) Should we just have a
try?
