Sparc is supported, though we had trouble building it for the 1.2.x
series so far. That prevented OpenMPI from migrating to testing, and was
the reason for the DDPO mail last week.

I tried to investigate the problem with a friend of mine who owns a
sparc, and we were quite sure that it was caused by old autotools; the
architecture autodetection seemed to be buggy. The buildlog showed
errors from assembly though that seemed to be fine; the new buildlog
shows no error at all. (Debian tools aside.)

The "fix" is trivial and I could check it in. Since I'm not very sure if
a new upload is justified (we don't know if this works out), it's up to
Dirk. I'm not quite sure if any of the official documents addresses
that, TBH.

Best regards
Manuel
