Hi Alan,

thanks very much for your patch! I applied it to our SVN repository with
minor modifications. I will upload a new package soon, but need to do
some testing before that.

As said, I did some minor modifications, but nothing serious. It builds
well and does not seem to introduce a problem from what I can see at the
moment. So everything's great so far! :)

I agree with your choice of option #3. I first had doubts about
introducing a new package because it's really small but it seems to be
the best solution.
