I'm aware of that but thanks for pointing it out! It's really cool to
see people following development that closely! :)

I spent some time to make sense out of that change but failed. I'm quite
confident that the soname bumps happened accidentally. I'm in contact
with upstream about that and will hold back the upload until this is
resolved. (I'll take the time to verify that building on the two new
architectures actually works as expected.)

You can build a package by changing the sonames in libopenmpi1.3.install
to the "new" versions:

libmpi.so -> 0.0.1
libmca_common_sm.so. -> 1.0.0

This will build but as I currently see it, the result is not what it
should be. There should be no soname bumps, as there were none in 1.3.4.
The upstream changelog also does not mention ABI/API breaks.

I expect this to be resolved soon, just stay tuned!
