Though old, this still holds for the 1.4 series of Open MPI. I'm not
exactly sure whether it's solved in the development branch (1.5 series).
I will investigate that.

There are several changes in 1.5 and I will have to rework the packaging
anyway, so this will take some time to fix. The little Debian time I have
ATM goes into working on Squeeze, so please don't expect anything soonish.
Hope that's OK with you.

I'll also have to get back to you with regards to MPICH2. But that's a
different issue, just to "warn" you that you'll hear from me again within
the next few days! ;)
