OK, thanks for the explanation. Although I didn't ask for it, it was just a
small rant, it's nice to have it explained :)
The main problem that I see with this "policy" (or lack thereof, or whatever
you call it) is that maybe the writers of the book are quite pissed off if
their customers find that OSG 3.0 is not released when they buy the book
(which might be quite a few people by now) and furthermore, if the examples
of their book do not work because some changes in A or B.
I think that by delaying releases in such a way, although the reason of
being paid to work in other areas is powerful, might be killing the goose
that lays the golden eggs, alienating customers (not us, but more important
ones like people who invest lots of time, effort and money to publish books
about it; big companies; etc) toward other similar solutions, thus hampering
OSG in the long run.
