Yes, I heard that it's expected to happen around February the 6th. I'm
however in favour of uploading to experimental as soon as possible, in
order not to release a too buggy version to unstable, given two facts:
* I have tested the build and I'm currently using the packages for my
daily work, but I can't warrantee the build for any other system than
the one I have, amd64. Robert gives, in my opinion, too few time to
tag every new release, maybe because they are developer
releases. Regressions can creep in very easily.
* 2.8.3 is somewhat far from current SVN, there are more chances for
bugs to show.
Once we have 2.9.11 working well, we can start releasing directly to
unstable, but I think experimental can accelerate our development
greatly. Users really interested in current versions can get from there
at their own risk, and so far nobody issued a wish report for a new
version... we must not forget that last released version is still 2.8.3.

No problem. Good luck with that :)
