The extended description starts with:
> OTR allows you to have private conversations over IM by providing:

Policy disadvises copying the extended description ("This description should not just be copied verbatim from the program's documentation. "). But if the description is reused, it needs to be adapted to the syntax of Debian's extended description: https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-controlfields.html#s-f-Description
Parsers almost render the code litterally. There is no support for italics or anything of the kind. "_foo_" will be displayed literally.
