[pkg-otr-team] irssi update - please do check your plugin

      Hi!

 As has been noticed in the past (and confirmed by upstream), the plugin
API of irssi isn't the most stable one. I just got a notify by someone
using the XMPP plugin who got a segfault on quitting irssi after my
upload of 0.8.16.

 Please check your plugin (especially the OTR one) if the update of
irssi is causing any problem for you, and either do an update of the
package if you planned one anyway, or at least request a binNMU built
against the latest irssi-dev package.

 It might make sense to tighten the dependencies to not only depend on
irssi (>= built-version) but also on irssi (<< next-upstream-version~)
to be on the save side for this. I have some debian/rules snippet for
such a calculation in the wesnoth package, feel free to pick it up.

 Thanks,
Rhonda
