Sounds to me as though perhaps you installed a new php4 and php4-common
from stable-security (perhaps downloaded manually, bypassing apt?), but
don't have stable-security in your sources.list, so apt-get is trying to
install php4-imap from stable (which is one revision behind).
Either add something like this to sources.list (followed by an apt-get
update ; apt-get install php4-imap):
deb http://security.debian.org/debian-security stable/updates main
Or, download php4-imap manually from security.debian.org and install it.
