it should, unless an error occurred during the installation, and in
case there was one, dselect/dpkg would have notified you.
For the record, does the following file exist?
/etc/apache2/apache2.conf

Bug reports are filed either via email (when you know how to do it),
or via the 'reportbug' command (apt-get install reportbug).
