I personally don't like the idea of uploading 5.3 to unstable just yet.
* The code is far away from being as "stable" as 5.2.x
* Upstream does still support 5.2.x and it seems like they will provide at 
least another 5.2 release
* Packages in the archive need to be verified for proper compatibility with

more or less obsolete during squeeze's life cycle, shipping current 5.3 would 
not help either as the code still needs a lot of work and is very likely to 
change in some probably not very compatible ways.

And finally, if we freeze in December it would be better to ship 5.2.x so that 
the delta between lenny and squeeze is minimal and would give enough time for 
5.3 to get mature enough for squeeze+1.
