I guess that will not happen, at least not on backports.org. (Propper) 
Maintaining a php5 backport means, you need to do that for the whole lifetime 
of the target debian release and to backport every php version from testing. 
As longer the lifetime of the target debian release will be, it will become 
more painfull, since you have to modify the packages a lot, to make it work.

Maintaining php5 on sarge-backports was an experience, which I personly dont 
need again, if it is avoidable. :)
