can you try the packages at:

	http://people.debian.org/~seanius/php/lenny/

and let me know if they resolve those problems (and not introduce any
other ones!)?  i don't have the time to set up a proper repo so you'll
have to fetch them and install them manually for the time being, sorry
about that.
