i suggest you report a bug against php5-mysql, and if at all possible please
do the following (along with including standard version info etc):

* install php5-dbg
* include a copy of the crash's backtrace in gdb
* a sample script which can cause the segfault with /usr/bin/php5 (assuming
  that it can)

if it doesn't crash on the cmdline, you might have to do something a bit
trickier to get a corefile/backtrace out of apache.
