I can prepare a package to pkg-php tree if you tell me where to read about it 
- support the php-memcache(d) and have not heard anything about it - this is a

Evolutionary changes - bug fixes, added a pair of functions.

I think that this still can not do anything, except to rewrite the original 
code that he used a non-deprecated functions. Or set bug in upstream.
