Problem with allioth is that you usually can't lookup email for person
applying. I usually try to find an email and contact the person who
applied for membership and/or wait for some notice in the mailling
list.

After a while I usually reject person if I don't know his intentions
for joining the team, because every team member can write to our repo.

Raphael, I upgraded you to the admin role in pkg-php-team alioth
project. Hope you don't mind.
