Hi,

The issue that I see with your php module, is that it needs access to
recaptcha, which owns it's own website and all. While the module itself
is free, why don't recaptcha just simply provides the full source code
for doing the captcha yourself? I don't like the idea to depend on their
website at all. Which is why I have sent some ITP for the following
packages:

- php-image-text
- php-numbers-words
- php-text-figlet
- php-text-psasword
- php-text-captcha

There are all available from here:

http://ftparchive.gplhost.com/debian/pool/lenny/main/p/

I will upload them in Debian as soon as I have my Debian accounts
created (as I found nobody willing to spend some time to do sponsoring,
and that anyway I believe it wont take must time until I get my Debian
Developer accounts ready).

The last one needs the other above 4 other php packages. This solution
is a lot more free than php-recaptcha, IMHO, even if obviously, the
result is more easy to guess than what does recaptcha. Do you think you
could convince the authors of CiviCRM to use php-text-captcha instead of
recaptcha, at least as an alternative? I don't think we need both in the
archive.

Thomas

P.S: Even though I soon can upload myself, I'd appreciate a review of
the above packages from my peers before I upload.
