Ok, one more (last I promise) update. It looks like that I just
setting ->initialized to 0 is just fine, and the error is in
http://cz.php.net/manual/en/function.crypt.php example code (notice
$5$ in SHA512 example).

So I am reverting that change back. Updated patch can be found at:
