I've been trying to resolve #620550. Yesterday I discovered that the GDBM problem crops up when libphp5.so is built with QDBM support (the details are in the bug report). I haven't been able to determine exactly what it is about QDBM that is affecting GDBM in other packages but the two libphp5.so files I supplied seem to indicate that is the case. I'd like to get this bug resolved so I can upgrade the rest of our web servers to squeeze (they use PHP and mod_perl 2). Is it possible to re-enable GDBM support in PHP and eliminate QDBM or is there a more appropriate way to fix this bug?
