in the past there have been numerous times where the tarball i uploaded
wasn't the original tarball but something regenerated by
git-buildpackage, and then the md5's didn't match up and i wasted half
an hour and a bunch of disk i/o. i never got into pristine-tar until
quite recently, and am wishing i had gotten off my lazy butt sooner
about it because it's really simple to set up / maintain with gbp.

if you're able to put a tarball into a pristine-tar branch after the
fact and can make sure that the checksums match up wiht what got sent to
ftp-master, then great! but otherwise it's not a huge problem to wait
until the next version as far as i'm concerned.
