I suggest you send a brief message to 183427-quiet@bugs.debian.org that
says what is happening. "wontfix" is exactly the opposite of the
truth. "pending" would be better.

I would actually like a more reliable way of starting the postmaster.
pg_ctl will fork it and claim a successful start, even though that may
not be true. As to this bug, I don't mind if the output is reduced, so
long as error output is properly reported. Do you, Martin, want to work
on that?

I guess you are right. 139389 is about sorting and the other two are
about invalid unicode characters. I am unmerging 139389.
