Sometimes I really like my fellow developers. I rarely if ever got a
non-negative response to a reassign. Sigh.

This is hardly compelling evidence that the bug lies with unixodbc. The
unixodbc implementation of the ODBC spec is under constant development;
this segfault may be a sign that UnixODBC now implements calls that were
stubbed out before, and as a result is triggering a latent bug in
odbc-postgresql. Accordingly, please attempt to isolate the bug in
odbc-postgresql first.
