Hi!

The arch repositories are publicly available at=20

  http://arch.debian.org/arch/pkg-postgresql/pkg-postgresql-private@lists.a=
lioth.debian.org--2004/

However, the postgresqlN.M projects are currently not in an usable
state, it should not even build. Oliver and I decided to repackage the
new architecture from scratch.

Olvier is currently away, but returns at the weekend. We will then
coordinate who repackages what.

I recently experimented with 8.0 beta4, the default installation (with
properly customized configure paths) is already very close to our
requirements (we can drop a lot of the mess in the current
debian/rules).

A while ago I posted some patches to pgsql-bugs to enhance the contrib
build. It would be nice if these could be included into the final
version (the guys already agreed to adopt it in principle).

The only outstanding issue was that the test suite fails for horology.
Is that known to you? If not, I can send you some details about it.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Martin
