Source: postgresql-9.6
Version: 9.6.3-3
Severity: serious
Tags: stretch sid
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org

Justification: FTBFS in stretch on i386

Hi,

During a rebuild of all packages in stretch (in a stretch chroot, not a
sid chroot), your package failed to build on i386.

Relevant part (hopefully):
> make[3]: Entering directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/contrib/spi'
> make[3]: Nothing to be done for 'all'.
> make[3]: Leaving directory '/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/contrib/spi'
> rm -rf ./testtablespace
> mkdir ./testtablespace
> PATH="/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/tmp_install/usr/lib/postgresql/9.6/bin:$PATH" LD_LIBRARY_PATH="/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/tmp_install/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu" ../../../src/test/regress/pg_regress --inputdir=/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/../src/test/regress --temp-instance=./tmp_check --bindir= --port=13949 --dlpath=. --port=13949 --schedule=/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/../src/test/regress/parallel_schedule
> ============== creating temporary instance            ==============

> pg_regress: initdb failed
> Examine /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/src/test/regress/log/initdb.log for the reason.
> Command was: "initdb" -D "/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/src/test/regress/./tmp_check/data" --noclean --nosync > "/<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/build/src/test/regress/log/initdb.log" 2>&1
> GNUmakefile:130: recipe for target 'check' failed
> make[2]: *** [check] Error 2

The full build log is available from:
   http://aws-logs.debian.net/2017/06/01/postgresql-9.6_9.6.3-3_testing-i386.log

A list of current common problems and possible solutions is available at
http://wiki.debian.org/qa.debian.org/FTBFS . You're welcome to contribute!

About the archive rebuild: The rebuild was done on EC2 VM instances from
Amazon Web Services, using a clean, minimal and up-to-date chroot. Every
failed build was retried once to eliminate random failures.
