[Pkg-protobuf-devel] protobuf3 status

Thanks for doing this - I work on the gRPC and protobuf projects so if you
have any questions you need answered from the gRPC team, you can just ask
here.

We just announced gRPC 1.0 today, so that would be a good baseline to build
packages off. The  v1.0.x branch has stable code for this branch and we
will release updates to it (following semantic versioning) into this branch.
