In terms of code base, I have two parts.  One is the modified/updated 
version of cran2deb that creates the source packages.  The second is the 
hodge-podge of scripts and chroots that utilizes Launchpad to build the 
binaries.

We want to start with the cran2deb code, correct?  The binary build 
system will be later, since the plan is to do that locally.
