Frankie recommended I post the url to preliminary
diffs against upstream 2.1.4 here:
http://www.trilug.org/~crimsun/rox_2.1.4-0.1.diff.gz
Aside from adjustments made to
ROX-Filer/src/Makefile.in (lines 47-48) and updating
offsets in debian/patches/global.dpatch, the main
thing of interest in the above diff is the use of
alternatives to create the /usr/bin/rox symlink, which
closes BTS #274007.
One thing to discuss regards FHS compliance. Currently
upstream uses ~/Choices; we use ~/.rox_choices. We
should consider ~/.rox/choices or ~/.config/ROX-Filer.
Of these two, I think adhering to the FreeDesktop.org
standard of ~/.config/ROX-Filer will be the best
choice. XFce4, Openbox, and MonoDevelop already use
~/.config.
Comments/suggestions?
