IIWY I'd bring that up on the rox-devel mailing list. I don't have much
experience of python but it sounds to me like site-packages would be a
much better place for it. If that had been specified from the start (or
a local branch of PYTHONPATH for users who can't/don't want to interfere
with the system [1]) we wouldn't need findrox.py at all.

[1] I'm not all that keen on the ROX policy of users owning what they
install. It isn't necessary to make things easier when perfectly good
system package managers are available, and keeping programs and their
fixed data separate from the home directory and non-writable is surely
better for security.
