Note: Zero Install is already in Debian, so it's fine to depend on it:

  http://packages.debian.org/lenny/zeroinstall-injector

It can also run a Debian packaged version of Thumbs, rather than
downloading, if one is provided in future. See:

 http://0install.net/distribution-integration.html
