[Pkg-running-devel] New libosmgpsmap coming

Hello,

I'm writing to you because subsurface depends on libosmgpsmap2. However, I'm
going to upload a new version of osmgpsmap, based on GTK-3, called
libosmgpsmap-1.0-0. Thus, the old GTK-2 based version will disappear from
Debian.

I tried patching subsurface's source, but it seems like, despite having checks
in place in the Makefile, it still references osm-gps-map from main.c (without
any check). Thus it will just FTBFS, instead of the expected behaviour
(compiling without that particular support).

Also, it's not possible to just compile it with the new lib; since it uses some
GTK-3 features (I tried, and the first failure was about missing GdkRGBA).

I don't really want to maintain an old version of OsmGpsMap alongside with the
new one. Also, I see subsurface has a new upstream version: maybe that one is
GTK-3?

Ideas? :)

Kindly,
David
