For the record, Kistof's mail sat in my TODO list for way too long
during last weeks. 

I think that tha way to go is probably topackage this package as it is
now and have it fully replace g-a-t (which is anyway basically a big
hack and not much more). But I hadn't time to have a closer look and
test things with my own 405. I still plan to spend more time on this
but I just can't tell when....and was really sad to leave Kristof
without any feedback....

I know we're not that many people hanging around on this list but,
hopefully, one of us can  give more than what I could..:-)
