Well, building in a sid chroot means one builds with what one has in
the sid chroot...:-)

This is because I use pbuilder in order to build in a clean sid chroot
when packages are targeted at unstable. My build machine has
pbuilder/cowbuilder and git-buildpackage is configured to use
them. It's the recommended setup for DDs for want to build packages
and be sure that they will not depend on what's locally installed.

Doing so helped, indeed, in revealing the omission of pkg-config in
the build dependencies...

I don't go into details about that as I guess there are good example
or mini tutorials abou tthis on Debian wiki. However, feel free to ask
in case something is not clear (mostly because I'm always in a hurry
to answer mails..:-))
