I am afraid that the real problem wasn't solved.
src/SerialUsb.cpp is published under GPLv2, lots of other stuff is 
published under GPLv3+. Both licenses demand that the resulting software 
is published under their license. So it is not possible to mix both.

Everything would be fine if you license your code under GPLv2+ instead of 
GPLv3+ ...
