Thanks, Sylvestre, I really appreciate you saying that.
Asking Debian to drop Subsurface wasn't an easy decision to make. But I
still believe it's the right decision at this point. Maybe in a little
while, once libgit2 has made it into Debian we can revisit the question if
a full-featured Subsurface can be shipped with Debian. Right now I think
the solution that we have is the best we can do.
