Hmmm, this is indeed something I always have troruble with. I actually
see no reason to have a gazillion of build dependencies installed on
the host while, precisely I use a chroot to build.

Indeed, the point is : why do pbuilder et al. always run "debian/rules
clean" before entering the chroot ? There is certainly a way to avoid
that.
