|    Hi there. I maintain the OpenCV and CImg libraries and I'd enjoy
| having co-maintainers or at least backup maintainers. Though they're

I had a quick look at opencv and cimg and I agree that they fit in 
pkg-scicomp. In my mind pkg-scicomp is about computing in general and Image 
processing is certainly about computing 

|    OpenCV is already on Alioth[1] but I'd like if possible to put my
| packages in the pkg-scicomp repository, I'm just concerned about the
| layout, I hope it's OK if I don't keep upstream source on Alioth, I
| prefer to work with a tarball + a clean debian directory with a patch
| system. Just tell me.
I am fine with that. I am going to follow this scheme also.
