[Pkg-scicomp-devel] atlas lintian clean?

Hi

I would like to work a bit on atlas to make it lintian clean but I am
having problems understanding one of the main things there, the
copyright file.

All the packages have the same copyright file and it is not lintian
warning free, it gives out "copyright-without-copyright-notice"
warning.

I don't know much about copyright policy and how to do this but in
octave we make the copyright files for the octave-forge package so
that they list all the different files (since there is no one
copyright holder to the files) like can be seen in [1]. But this is
not a good solution for atlas since many of the files don't have a
copyright notice and there are just way to many files.
But then again I don't see any single copyright to some specific
person/institution.

Another lintian warning is about the executble-stack of some of the
libraries. This should be checked like is described in [2] and then
for those packages that can run without the executable-stack a simple
run of execstack -c should fix those problems right?

Thats it for now.

Cheers

Oli
